The territory on which the Cooperative operates is mainly of a cooler nature, at an altitude of 200-300 m. above sea level; the central nucleus is represented by the Municipality of Santa Luce (Pisa) which, in addition to the capital, is formed by three fractions of very ancient origin.

The first settlements, testified by the graves in the territory, date back to the Etruscans; inside, terracotta and black stain artefacts found in the Municipal Museum have been found. The main town dates back to the Middle Ages, however, and the characteristic features of the Castle with its circular village with two or three walls are still visible today. There are several churches, all of Romanesque times, the oldest of which is that of Pieve of which there are historical records since 877.

In general, the appearance of the territory is the classic of Tuscany, consisting of a succession of more or less sweet hills on which olive trees, olive trees, rows of vines, cereal crops and forage plants with colorful colors.

In this environment the Cooperativa Produttori Agricoli Pieve Santa Luce operates, the fulcrum around which the main agricultural activities of the district revolve, which tries to combine the wisdom and experience of the past with the technology of the future.
